This picture was taken an early morning last spring, 07:53 to be precise, the high humidity made the air lie heavy throughout the forest and also made the scene look quite filmic. The bird actually landed on the tree while I had already set up my tripod and camera aimed at the sawn off tree. The moment was given to me by serendipity, and by the fact that the bird needed some rest - so honestly, I am quite thankful to the bird.
